PROGRAM NOTE
This arrangement was written with the intention of honouring the familiar tune and text through its simplistic nature. The words remind the listener that God is constant, reliable and unfailing. His love never ends and His mercies are new each morning. It is hoped that the music would encourage the listener as they contemplate the promises of God. Great is Thy faithfulness!

ABOUT THE COMPOSER
Harrison Venables is a Salvationist from Toronto. He attends North York Temple where he learned to play cornet at the age of seven. He is the second youngest of six siblings in a well-known musical family where everyone plays a brass instrument and sings. At the age of 11, Harrison began writing smaller pieces for brass sextet, having watched his three older brothers begin writing and arranging their own music. At the age of 13, he started learning to play drums which helped further his musical creativity. Harrison is the drummer for the worship team and participates in all other music sections at the corps. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music where he earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Trumpet Performance. Currently, he works at a private Christian school in Toronto as a music teacher. This is his second contribution to the Maple Leaf Brass journal.
