Living Right While Righting Wrong – Colonel (Dr.) Wendy Swan

SKU: 9780888575401 Categories: , ,

For those immersed in The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry, it is impossible to remain indifferent to injustice. Salvationists cannot be invisible or morally mute—our place is on the front lines of need and in the public square of civil discourse. Protesting the world-as- it-is and proclaiming the world-as-it-should be is essential to the life of holiness for the soldier of Jesus Christ. This is Living Right While Righting Wrong.

The chapters in this book complement the truths we hold dear. Some would ask, “Can there be a theology of protest that shapes a Salvationist response to injustice?” To this we respond, “Read the book!” — General Brian Peddle and Commissioner Rosalie Peddle, International Leaders of The Salvation Army

Colonel Wendy Swan’s 26 years of international service in The Salvation Army reflect her commitment to the global body of Christ. She presently serves as Director of the International Social Justice Commission, Chair of the International Moral and Social Issues Council and as a sitting member of the International Theological Council.
