Whether his messages come via the printed page or from the public platform, General Bramwell Tillsley (Rtd) is acknowledge to be one of The Salvation Army’s most gifted and incisive exponents of the Word of God.
In great demand as a speaker and writer, General Tillsley brings light and life to the Scriptures. His lucid authorship and his earnest eloquence greatly enhance his creative and through Biblical scholarship.
A native of Canada, he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. The turning point in his life, says General Tillsley, came when he acknowledged and accepted the Lordship of Christ at the age of 19. That was the beginning of his personal life in the Spirit.
The first edition of Life In The Spirit was printed when General Tillsley was Chief Secretary in the USA Southern Territory. During his active Officership he was the Principal of Training Colleges in Newfoundland, New York and the William Booth Memorial Training College in London, England.
Bramwell Tillsley became the 14th General of The Salvation Army and is now residing in retirement in Toronto, Canada.
