Well respected vocalist Darren Bartlett joins with the North York Temple Band to present their latest recording
O Holy Night.
With a diversity of talents, including vocal coaching, vocal performance and Piano, Darren is also a recognised choral composer and his published works include arrangements for choirs, solo voice, piano and ensembles.
As a composer & arranger, he has over 150 titles and three full-length stage musicals to his credit. His works have been featured on BBC Radio & Television and have been performed and recorded in many arenas worldwide.
As a performer, Darren spent 5 years as a member of the International Staff Songsters of The Salvation Army (SA) and has several solos and compositions on their recordings. He has featured on BBC Television and Radio, and is a familiar voice on local radio stations.
Darren has been kept busy in the UK, performing at various locations including Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Bridgewater Hall Manchester, The Royal Festival and The Royal Albert Hall in London. He has maintained close links to home performing on a number of occasions at local theatres in support of both the SA and local charities.
Recordings - In 2003 Darren was featured on BBCÆs Songs of Praise along side the Swedish Gospel singer, Annika Hansson who is also featured on his CD, YOU RAISE ME UP.
His composition æSONG OF PEACEÆ was recorded by the BBC Choir Boy of the year in December 2002 selling over 30,000 copies, with performances stretching from Scandinavia to the USA.
